Event Details

Since ancient times, engineers have designed structures to withstand the forces of nature. The original Hamilton Waterworks has supported the weight of two 70-ton steam engines for 160 years! Children will investigate structural engineering and the forces that act upon structures like buildings and bridges. With the help of museum interpreters, participants will be guided through hands on activities themed around the building strong structures.

Hamilton Museum of Steam & Technology is excited to present the “STEAM Saturdays” kids workshop series for children. This workshop is a staff-led and supervised event. Parents/Caregivers are welcome to stay but are not required to do so. Consent forms and emergency contact information will be required at drop-off.

Tickets are $25 per child and $9 per adult supervisor (adults may stay or drop off). Pre-registration is required. This workshop is designed for children ages 7-12 years.
