Join us for a fun, free film night honouring the City’s 2024 Famous Hamiltonian Contest winner, as voted by you: MARTIN SHORT.

We will also be highlighting the work of another contest nominee, silent screen favourite FLORENCE LAWRENCE, one of the first bona fide “movie stars”.

A Lawrence silent film will be screened, followed by Martin Short’s Three Amigos (with Steve Martin & Chevy Chase, music by Randy Newman). Door Prizes!  Trivia contest!  Free event!

Each year the Tourism and Culture Division of the City of Hamilton holds a fun, online Famous Hamiltonian Contest.  A theme and nominees are selected, and anyone can vote online. This year’s theme was Hamilton Stage and Screen. We had six nominees representing more than 150 years of Hamilton entertainers. All nominees have made significant contributions to the stories of our City, and the stories of our city is what the annual contest is all about.
