Event Details
Young ones are invited to drop in for free nature-based activities in Sophia’s Garden, a new child-focused interactive space located in Dundurn’s Historic Kitchen Garden. This area of the garden was inspired by The Diary of Sophia MacNab. Sophia describes growing a small plot of fruits and vegetables with her younger sister at Dundurn in 1846. This new garden features plants selected to inspire kids to touch, smell and interact with nature. Join Hamilton Children’s Museum staff to explore plants, animals, insects and engage in hands-on activities.
This program is weather dependent and will be cancelled if there is audible thunder, heavy rain, or if temperatures are above 40 degrees Celsius.
