Featuring hands-on crafts including poppy making kits and a class wreath making project, the kits also provide a chance to step into the shoes of a member of Canadian Expeditionary Force with Field Service Postcards and Attestation Papers that students can fill out. This kit includes informational sheets to put these crafts into historical context and also features links to the Hamilton Museums YouTube Channel for further information.

With this month’s kit, we are recognizing World Toilet Day and the importance of access to basic sanitation. Each kit includes a miniature craft, an experiment kit investigating ‘flushables’ courtesy of our friends at Hamilton Water and more. Quantities are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Pick-up only; no delivery available. Registration for this kit will open on October 30th.

“World Toilet Day” is an official United Nations international observance day held each year on November 19th to inspire action on the global sanitation crisis. Worldwide, 3.6 billion people live without safely managed sanitation, leading to disease and polluted groundwater.
Ages: 5 to 12 years
Cost: Free Activity Kit. Pre-Registration is required. Maximum two kits per household.
